The thermal analysis laboratory consists of a
state of the art Perkin Elmer DSC 7 Thermal
Analysis system.
This includes a 32 bit PE 7500 computer, DSC 7,
TGA 7, and a high quality plotter.
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and
thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) are used for
measurement and characterization of thermal
properties of materials.
The laboratory also contains a Perkin Elmer AD-2
autobalance which is used for precision sample
weight measurement.
