Monthly,
students, faculty, and staff gather in KHS to
enjoy some student brewed beer, snacky foods,
and one another’s company
Cookie
time
At 3 pm, Monday
through Friday, cookies, coffee, and tea are
made available in the lounge on the 3rd floor of
KHS for students in need of a mid-afternoon pick
me up.
Job
board
Once housed in
the basement of KHS, job postings are now posted
on a cork board in the lounge on the 3rd floor
of KHS for students to peruse…and hopefully
apply!
Prospective student visits
Intermittently
throughout the year, assistance is provided for
prospective student visits whereby
individuals/small groups are taken out for meals
and/or toured around the building, campus, and
the greater Cleveland area in general.
Macro
Talkies
Started by Akshay
Kokil (EMAC ‘05) and Sergio Granados-Focil (EMAC
‘05), Macro Talkies is a vehicle through which a
wide variety of films are brought in and
screened in KHS monthly, on average, with
popcorn and soda provided.
Beer
brewing
Regulars at the
Brew Kettle for several years now, students fond
of frosty beverages have brought happy hour such
memorable brews as Poly Girl, Rowan’s Red, and
Kent Ale Smith. Stay tuned for the next brew
session!
Fall
picnic
A mainstay in the
departmental calendar of events, the fall picnic
kicks off the academic year in early September.
Pumpkin
carving
Continuing the
fall celebration, pumpkins are made available to
the EMAC student population for carving…into
spooky…and not so spooky creations.
Winter
party
On the verge of
change, the annual winter party, having hit a
high point in formality and regalia as it was
hosted in the Museum of Natural History in
University Circle, went to a more relaxed format
this past year as it was housed in our beloved
KHS with karaoke and a raffle of Case
memorabilia as its highlights.
