| The department has 17 full-time faculty which
comprises eight full professors, two associate
professors, and two assistant professors as well
as five active emeritus professors.
Research collaboration among faculty members with
diversified backgrounds is very active, consisting of
Ph.D. degrees in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering,
Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and
Biophysics.
In addition, the Department has ten associated
faculty from other CASE Engineering departments
(including Physics, Electrical Engineering and Applied
Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
Pathology and Orthopedics). We also have two adjunct faculty from industry and
other academic institutions.
We currently employ 15 research staff, nine
administrative staff, and one technical staff member along with
having 59 graduate students. In addition, 30
undergraduate students were registered for the B.S. or
B.S./M.S. in Polymer Science and Engineering.
